Solution

Given

x^2-9=0

Note: Difference of Two Square

a^2-b^2=(a-b)(a+b)=0

Now, using the difference of two squares

\begin{gathered} x^2-9=0 \\ x^2-3^2=0 \\ (x-3)(x+3)=0 \\ \text{Either} \\ x-3=0 \\ x=3 \\ or \\ x+3=0 \\ x=-3 \\ \text{Therefore,} \\ x=3,-3 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the answer is False because apart from x = 3, x can also be equal to -3

FALSE
