Question 7

The shaded part of the circle is a sector

The area of a sector is given by

A\text{ =}(\emptyset)/(360)\text{ x }\pi r^2

where the angle is given to be 64 degrees

the radius = 11 inches

pi = 3.14

Substituting these values, we will obtain

\begin{gathered} A\text{ =}(64)/(360)\text{ x }3.14\text{ x 11 x 11} \\ \\ A\text{ = 67.54 in}^2 \end{gathered}
