The equation that we have to solve is:

u\text{ = }(2x-6)/(y)

I will use the multiplication property which consists in getting the 'y' and passing him to the other side multiplicated by 'u'.

u* y\text{ = }2x-6

Now I will isolate x, passing 6 to the other side:

2x\text{ = uy + 6}

And finally, I will use the division property to definitely isolate x:

x\text{ = }(uy+6)/(2)
