Y = 0.082x + 10.952 where:

x is the total points scored.

In order to determine the predicted points scored if you practiced for 10 minutes, we will simply substitute y = 10 into the equation and find the corresponding value of x as shown:

Y = 0.082x + 10.952

10 = 0.082x + 10.952

0.082x = 10-10.952

0.082x = -0.952

Divide both sides by 0.082

0.082x/0.082 = -0.952/0.082

x = -11.609

x = -11.610 (To nearest thousandth)
