We can calculate the slope of two points P1 and P2 as:

m=(\Delta y)/(\Delta x)=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

For points (4,-3) and (-6,2) the slope is:

m=(2-(-3))/(-6-4)=(2+3)/(-10)=(5)/(-10)=-(1)/(2)

The slope is m=-1/2.
