The domain is the set of all possible values of x that would satisfy the function. The boundaries are the lowest value of x on the left and the highest value of x on the right. Looking at the graph, it will continue towards negative infinity on the left and towards positive infinity on the right. Thus,

domain = (- infinity , + infinity)

The range is the set of all possible values of y that would satisfy the function. The boundaries are the lowest value of y at the bottom and the highest value of y at the top. Looking at the graph, the lowest value at the bottom is - 1 and it is inclusive. The highest value at the top infinity. Thus,

Range = [-1, +infinity)
