The line is perpendicular to x =-5.

and passing through the point ( 1, -2).

The line x= -5 is parallel to y- axis and any line parallel to y-axis has undefined slope.

So, the line perpendicular to the line x=-5 will be 0.

The slope point form of equation of line is,


\begin{gathered} y-y_1=m(x-x_1) \\ \text{here, m= slope =0 and (x}_1,y_1)=(1,-2) \\ y-(-2)\text{ = (0) (x-1)} \\ y+2=0 \\ y=-2 \end{gathered}
