I keep doing something wrong when trying to solve -12(6-8)² ÷ (-3) + 3 • 4, I think the (-3) is throwing me off, I know I'm supposed to do parenthesis first, but I don't know what to do with the (-3)

The given expression is:

-12(6-8)^2/(-3)+3\cdot4

We need to solve first the parentheses, so:

\begin{gathered} -12(-2)^2/(-3)+3\cdot4 \\ \\ =-12(4)/(-3)+3\cdot4 \end{gathered}

Now, solve the multiplications:

=(-48)/(-3)+12

The next operation to solve is the division:

=16+12

Finally, solve the addition:

=28

The answer is 28
