We are asked to determine the type of energy associated with the velocity of an object. If an object is moving at a velocity "v", then the type of energy it has:

K=(1)/(2)mv^2

Where:

\begin{gathered} m=\text{ mass} \\ v=\text{ velocity} \end{gathered}

The energy "K" is called Kinetic Energy (KE).
