First we need to calculate the slope

m=(10-8)/(-1-0)=(2)/(-1)=-2

And then we have to use the slope intercept equation

y-y_0=m(x-x_0)

in this case, yo=8 and xo=0

\begin{gathered} y-8=-2(x-0)=-2x \\ y=-2x+8 \end{gathered}
