In the figure, the value of local minimum values is located at point (-6, 8)

What is local minimum?

A local minimum is a point on the graph of a function where the function takes on its smallest value in a particular neighborhood of that point.

This is a low point in the vicinity of the point being considered.

Examining the graph, the low point of the interval displayed by the graph have coordinates of (-6, 8) and this is the local minimum value.

The value is not absolute minimum value because the graph continued at both ends and this part is not shown

In the previous function the local minimum value corresponds to (-6,8).
