The angle of elevation of a car on a road to the top of a tower is 45°. If the distance between the car and the tower along the road is 22 ft, find the height of the tower.

Let the height of the tower be h.

Then,


\tan 45^o=(h)/(22)
\Rightarrow h=22\tan 45^o=22*1=22ft

Hence, the height of the tower is 22ft
