Since all the pizzas are the same size we need to add the fractions in order to determine who ate more pizza, the greatest result is the one that ate more.

For Tito we have:

`\text{Tito}=(1)/(4)+(3)/(8)+(1)/(2)=(2\cdot1+3+4\cdot1)/(8)=(9)/(8)`

For Luis we have:

`\text{Luis}=(5)/(8)+(1)/(2)=(5+4\cdot1)/(8)=(9)/(8)`

Luis is correct, because they ate the same nine eights of a pizza. They ate the same amount.
