a) 70 min to stock 14 shelves

To find the unit rate we need to divide 70 minutes by 14 shelves

Unit rate means denominator = 1

(70)/(14)=5

The unit rate is 5 minutes/self

b) $6.00 for 12 Ib

we will divide 12 by 6

(12)/(6)=2

The unit rate is 2 Ib/dollar

c) 4 qt of soup for 3.80

We will divide 3.80 by 4

(3.80)/(4)=0.95

The unit rate is 0.95 dollars/qt

d) 5 oranges for 1.2 dollars

We will divide 1.2 by 5

(1.2)/(5)=0.24

The unit rate is 0.24 dollar/orange

e) 140 mi on 4 gal. of gas

We will divide 140 by 4

(140)/(4)=35

The unit rate is 35 mi/gal.
