What is the largest number you can add to -6 so the answer is still a negative non zero number?

For this case we have the followig number given -6

And we want to find which number we can add to this number in order to still have a negative non zero number. And for this case we can set up the following equation:


-6+x=-1

And solving for x we got:


x=-1+6=5

And then the answer for this case would be 5
