The equation of the line is in the form

y=mx+b

in which m represents the slope of the line and b is the y-intercept.

according to the information given m=7

to find the y-intercept we can use the point given.

y=7x+b

using point (5,3)

\begin{gathered} 3=7(5)+b \\ 3=35+b \\ 3-35=b \\ -32=b \end{gathered}

the equation of the line is

y=7x-32
