If some students Are you playing tug-of-war and 10 newtons of force is used in the right side and 5 N are used on the left side what is the final force placed on the rope

The value of force acting on the right side is,


F_r=10\text{ N}

The value of force on the left side is,


F_l=5\text{ N}

Net force acting on the rope is,


\begin{gathered} F_(net)=F_r-F_l \\ F_(net)=10-5 \\ F_(net)=5\text{ N} \end{gathered}

Thus, the net force acting on the rope is 5 N and is acting on the right side of the rope.
