The side of the scalene triangle is a=4 m, b= 6m and c= 8 m.

Determine the perimeter of the triangle by sum of sides.

\begin{gathered} P=4+6+8 \\ =18 \end{gathered}

So perimeter of trainagle is 18 m.

The formula for the area of traingle is,

A=\sqrt[]{s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)}

Here the formula for semi-perimeter (s) is,

s=(a+b+c)/(2)

Determine the semi perimeter for the triangle.

\begin{gathered} s=(4+6+8)/(2) \\ =(18)/(2) \\ =9 \end{gathered}

Substitute the value in the formula to obtain the area of triangle.

\begin{gathered} A=\sqrt[]{9(9-4)(9-6)(9-8)} \\ =\sqrt[]{9\cdot5\cdot3\cdot1} \\ =\sqrt[]{135} \\ =11.62 \end{gathered}

So area of triangle is 11.62 meter square.
