The surface area of the cylinder is,


\begin{gathered} A=2\pi rh+2\pi r^2 \\ =2\pi*4*9+2\pi*4^2 \\ =72\pi+32\pi \\ =104\pi cm^2 \end{gathered}

Thus, the surface area of the cylinder is,


104\pi cm^2
