Complementary angles are angles whose sum is 90 degrees

Given that angle A and angle B are complementary, it means that

angle A + angle B = 90

3x + 2 + 5x + 8 = 90

3x + 5x + 2 + 8 = 90

8x + 10 = 90

8x = 90 - 10

8x = 80

x = 80/8

x = 10
