The standard form of a number is just the number wrote normally, without operations.

So for questions 3 to 5, we have:

3:

(8\cdot1)+(5\cdot(1)/(100))+(9\cdot(1)/(1000))=8+0.05+0.009=8.059_{}

4:

1+0.9+0.08+0.001=1.981

5:

\begin{gathered} \text{four hundred twenty five}\to425 \\ \text{fifty}-\text{two hundreds}\to0.52 \\ \text{four hundred twenty five and fifty}-\text{two hundreds}\to425.52 \end{gathered}

Now, in order to write equivalent decimals, we can just add or remove zeros to the right of the decimal places.

6:

\begin{gathered} 5.300\colon \\ 5.30\text{ and 5.3} \end{gathered}

7:

\begin{gathered} 3.7\colon \\ 3.70\text{ and 3.700} \end{gathered}

8:

\begin{gathered} 0.9\colon \\ 0.90\text{ and 0.900} \end{gathered}

9:

\begin{gathered} 2.50\colon \\ 2.5\text{ and 2.500} \end{gathered}
