(9y-8)+(y+5)=(ny-3)

First we need to simplify the expression

10y-3=ny-3

then we sum the terms with y

\begin{gathered} 10y-ny=3-3 \\ \end{gathered}
y(10-n)=0

then we need to clear n

\begin{gathered} 10-n=0 \\ n=10 \end{gathered}

the value of n=0
