Step 1

Let width = w

Length = 2w - 5

2L + 2w = 110

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2Length = 2Width

110 = 2(2w - 5) + 2(w)

110 = 4w - 10 + 2w

110 + 10= 4w + 2w

120 = 6w

w = 120/6

w = 20

width = 20

Length = 2(20) - 5

= 40 - 5

= 35
