Given the expression;

(n^(-7)p^7)^(-8)

First, we expand the expression using the indices rule that;

(ab)^c=a^cb^c

So, the expression is;

(n^(-7)p^7)^(-8)=(n^(-7))^(-8)*(p^7)^(-8)

So, we apply another rule;

(a^b)=a^(b* c)=a^(bc)

Thus, we have;

\begin{gathered} (n^(-7))^(-8)*(p^7)^(-8)=n^(56)* p^(-56) \\ (n^(-7)p^7)^(-8)=n^(56)p^(-56) \end{gathered}

Then, we have;

\begin{gathered} n^(56)p^(-56)=(n^(56))/(p^(56)) \\ n^(56)p^(-56)=((n)/(p))^(56) \end{gathered}
