SOLUTION:

Finding unit price simply means getting the price for 1 item only.

part A)

\begin{gathered} \text{unit price.} \\ (3.19)/(6)=0.53\text{ or 53 cents per oz} \end{gathered}

part B)

(3.12)/(6)=\text{ 0.52 or 52 cents per oz}

part C)

(5.49)/(6)\text{=0.92 0r 92 cents per oz}

One reason we use oz was because dividing using a smaller number helps our answers appear in a money($) unit.

Final answers

part A) 53 cents per oz

part B) 52 cents per oz

part C) 92 cents per oz
