To find x, we use the law of cosines

16^2=22^2+8^2-2\cdot22\cdot8\cdot\cos x

Now, we solve for x

\begin{gathered} 256=484+64-352\cdot\cos x \\ 256=548-352\cdot\cos x \\ 256-548=-352\cdot\cos x \\ -(292)/(-352)=\cos x \\ x=\cos ^(-1)((292)/(352)) \\ x\approx34.2 \end{gathered}

Hence, the angle x measures 34.2°, approximately.
