An isosceles triangle has 2 equal angles (base angles )

mmm

The sum of all interior angles of a triangle add up to 180°,

m

(3x+47)+ (5x+21)+ (5x+21) = 180

Solve for x:

3x+47+5x+21x+5x+21 = 180

Combine like terms:

3x+5x+5x+47+21+21 =180

13x+89 = 180

Subtract 89 from both sides of the equation:

13x+89-89 = 180-89

13x = 91

Divide both sides by 13

13x/13 = 91/13

x = 7

Replace x=7 for each degree measure:

mm

m
