The slope of the line that passes through the points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) is

m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

Since the line passes through points (0, 5) and (5, 7), then

x1 = 0 and x2 = 5

y1 = 5 and y2 = 7

Substitute them in the rule above

\begin{gathered} m=(7-5)/(5-0) \\ m=(2)/(5) \end{gathered}

The slope of the line is 2/5
