The distance formula tells us

D=RT

Where

D is the distance

R is the rate (speed)

T is the time

Given,

R = 500 km/hr

T = 3.5 hr

We need to figure out "D". Substituting into the formula, we find the distance:

\begin{gathered} D=RT \\ D=(500)(3.5) \\ D=1750\operatorname{km} \end{gathered}Answer1750 kilometers
