last week's profit = $65 (positive)

This week's profit = -$25 (negative)

Part A

To write a subtraction expression to represent the current profit we simply subtract this week's amount of negative profit, to last week's profit:

• Subtraction expression: 62-25

For the addition expression, we simply add the negative value :

• Addition expression: 62+(-25)

Part B

To find the difference we simply solve any expression:

62-25 = 37

The difference between last week's profit and this week's profit is $37
