Mr. Gillis draws a straight line on a graph. The line goes through the points (-5, 7) and (2, 3). What is theslope of the line (rate of change)? (hint: make a table)

In order to calculate the slope between two points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2), we can use the formula:

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

Then, using the points (-5, 7) and (2, 3), we have:

m=(3-7)/(2-(-5))=-(4)/(7)

So the slope of the line is m = -4/7.
