Answer:

Number of $5 bills = 92

Number of $50 bills = 23

Explanations:

Let the number of $5 bills be x

Let the number of $50 bills be y

There are four times as many $5 bills as $50 bills

x = 4y

The total amount of money = $1610

5x + 50y = 1610

since x = 4y

5(4y) + 50y = 1610

20y + 50y = 1610

70y = 1610

y = 1610 / 70

y = 23

x = 4y

x = 4(23)

x = 92

There are 92 $5 bills and 23 $50 bills
