The slope-intercept form of a line is:

y=mx+b

Here, m represents the slope and b is the y-intercept.

Back in the step of the question where we were isolating y, we have:

2y=-3x+12

Divide both sides of the equation by 2:

y=-(3)/(2)x+6

Here, we compare the coefficient of x and the independent term with the slope-intercept form and identify:

slope = -3/2

y-intercept = 6
