Let:

A = land on heads

B = rolling a 1, 2, or a 4 on a die

so:

P(A)=(1)/(2)

since the coin needs to land on heads 3 times:

P(A3)=P(A)\cdot P(A)\cdot P(A)=((1)/(2))^3=(1)/(8)

and rolling a 1, 2, or a 4 on a die:

\begin{gathered} P(B)=(3)/(6)=(1)/(2) \\ so\colon \\ P(A3)\cdot P(B)=(1)/(8)\cdot(1)/(2)=(1)/(16) \end{gathered}
