Solving for y we get:


\begin{gathered} y-(-7)=-(1)/(2)(x-6) \\ \Rightarrow y+7=-(1)/(2)x-(1)/(2)(-6) \\ \Rightarrow y=-(1)/(2)x+3-7 \\ \Rightarrow y=-(1)/(2)x-4 \end{gathered}

Therefore, y=-1/2x - 4
