An algebraic expression consists of constants and variables as well as the mathematical operation such as addition, multiplication etc. For example,

2x - 3y +15 =12

2x and 3y are the variables

12 and 15 are the constants

add/ subtract are the operations

Algebraic expressions are also called allgebraic equation
