5) The domain of a function is the set of all possible values of x(input values) that satisfy the function. The domain would be between the lowest value of x on the left of the x axis and the greatest value of x on the right side of the x axis. The lowest value of x is - 5. The unshaded circle means that - 5 is not inclusive. The greatest value is 5. The shaded circle means that 5 is inclusive. Thus,

Domain = (- 5, 5]

The range of a function is the set of all possible values of y(output values) that satisfy the function. The range would be between the lowest value of y on the bottom of the y axis and the greatest value of y on the to of the y axis. The lowest value of y is - 2. The greatest value is 2. The shaded circle means that - 2 is inclusive. Thus, the range is

[- 2, 2]

For a function, a particular value of x cannot have more than one value of y. Looking at the graph, no single value of x has more than one value of y. Thus, it is a function
