\begin{gathered} \text{The formulae for the surface area of a cylinder is 2}\pi r^2\text{ + 2}\pi rh\text{ while} \\ \text{2}\pi r^2=\text{ areas of the base and the top} \\ \text{2}\pi rh\text{ = area along the height, h} \\ \text{where r = radius} \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} \text{Area, A = }2\pi\text{ }*7^2\text{ + 2}\pi\text{ }*\text{ 7}*18 \\ A\text{ = 307.876 + 791.681} \\ A\text{ = 1099.56 sq units} \end{gathered}

Therefore, total surface area = 1100 sq units
