Each family member is allowed 2 meal suggestions. Then, since there are 5 family members (2 adults and 3 children), the total of possible meals is:

5 x 2 = 10

Also, each child is allowed 3 activity suggestions. Since there are 3 children, the total of possible activities is:

3 x 3 = 9

Then, for each one of the 10 meals, there are 9 possible activities. This results in a total of possibilities for the family night given by:

10 x 9 = 90

Therefore, there are 90 different family possibilities.
