Answer:

y= -4/5x-31/5

Explanation:

4x+5y=9 Standard form slope is -a/b so m= -4/5.

You could also convert it to slope-intercept form to find the slope

5y=-4x+9

y=(-4/5)x+9/5 Slope is -4/5

Slope-intercept form

y=mx+b

Plug in the point (-4,-3) and m (-4/5)

-3= -4(-4/5)+b

-3=16/5+b Note: multiplying a negative and a negative make a positive

-3-16/5=b

-15/5 - 16/5=b

b=-31/5

So the equation is:

y= -4/5x-31/5
