Solution:

Given a straight line graph;

Two points on the line are given as;

(1,1),(4,-2)

The slope m, of a line is;

\begin{gathered} m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1) \\ \\ Where; \\ x_1=1,y_1=1,x_2=4,y_2=-2 \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} m=(-2-1)/(4-1) \\ \\ m=-(3)/(3) \\ m=-1 \end{gathered}

Thus, the point-slope equation of a line is;

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

Thus, the slope-intercept equation of line is;

\begin{gathered} y-1=-1(x-1) \\ \\ y=1-x+1 \\ \\ y=2-x \end{gathered}

ANSWER:

y=2-x
