The formula to calculate the distance(d) between two points is,

d=\sqrt[]{(x_2-x_1)^2_{}+(y_2-y_1)^2}

Given

\begin{gathered} (x_1,y_1)\rightarrow(7,-3) \\ (x_2,y_2)\rightarrow(1,-10) \end{gathered}

Therefore,

d=\sqrt[]{(1-7)^2+(-10--3)^2}

Simplify

\begin{gathered} d=\sqrt[]{(-6)^2+(-10+3)^2}=\sqrt[]{36+(-7)^2}=\sqrt[]{36+49}=\sqrt[]{85}=\: 9.21954 \\ d=9.21954\approx9.2units(nearest\text{ tenth)} \\ \therefore d=9.2units \end{gathered}

Hence, the distance is 9.2 units.
