Input data

Width = ?

Lenght = 5/6 ft

Area = 8 sq ft

The area of the rectangle can be written as the following equation

A=l\cdot w

To determine the width the equation will be

\begin{gathered} w=(A)/(l) \\ w=(8)/((5)/(6)) \\ w=(8\cdot6)/(5) \\ w=(48)/(5) \\ w=9.6 \\ \end{gathered}

Width would be 9.6 ft.
