We are given the rule

n*2 + 1

And it's required to form a pattern out of it. We can assume n is the number of the term of the pattern, starting with n = 1 and increasing it by 1.

For n = 1:

1*2 + 1 = 2 + 1 = 3

For n = 2:

2*2 + 1 = 4 + 1 = 5

For n = 3:

3*2 + 1 = 6 + 1 = 7

For n = 4:

4*2 + 1 = 8 + 1 = 9

So, the pattern can be written as:

3, 5, 7, 9, ...

To add more terms to the pattern, just use the next value of n.
