For the y-intercept clear the y:

3x=-5y
5y=-3x
y=-(3)/(5)x

Replace x for 0:

y=0

The y intercept will be 0.

Now replace equal to the intercept:

0=-(3)/(5)x

The intercept in x and y is (0,0)

So the answer is:

Because the slope is -3/5
