A triangle has vertices with coordinates (2,0), (3, -1) and (-2,-5). If the triangle is dilated by a scale factor of 4 with the origin as the center of dilation, what are the coordinates of the vertices of the image?

Since the triangle dilates by 4 times and about th poit (0, 0), we will have the following coordinates:

a(2, 0) => a'(8, 0)

b(3, -1) =>b'(12, -4)

c(-2, -5) => c'(-12, -20)

When we dilate by 4 the whole shape, we multiply by 4 both the x-component and y-component of each point.
