We can begin add 3y on both sides we got:


4x=12+3y

And now we can divide both sides by 3 and subtracting 12 and we got:


(4x-12)/(3)=(3y)/(3)

And we have this:


y=(4x-12)/(3)=(4x)/(3)-4

And that would be the final answer.
