To find:

The decreasing order of the fractions.

Solution:

1.

The numbers are -3, 1 1/4, -1 3/4, 1/10.

First change the mixed fractions to improper fractions.

1(1)/(4)=(5)/(4)\text{ and }-1(3)/(4)=-(7)/(4)

Now, change the fractions to decimal form by dividing the numerator by its denominator:

(5)/(4)=1.25\text{ and }-(7)/(4)=-1.75\text{ and }(1)/(10)=0.1

Now, it is known that greater than negative number, the lesser the value.

So, the decreasing order of the numbers is:

1(1)/(4)>(1)/(10)>-1(3)/(4)>-3
