A mouse is dropped in the maze define his way out he walks 15 m makes a 90° left turn walks 8 m makes another 90° left turn and walks 10 m what is the magnitude of the resultant vector? Then what is the direction of the resultant vector?

Here is a sketch of the situation.

The distance covered by the mouse is the red line and its magnitude is

\sqrt[]{8^2+5^2}=\sqrt[]{89}\approx9.43

The direction if the red line is

\theta=\tan ^(-1)((8m)/(5m))
\theta=57.995^o

This angle is directed to the left.
