Let,

\begin{gathered} (x_1,y_1)=(-4,6) \\ (x_2,y_2)=(2,2) \end{gathered}

The expression to calculate the the slope of a line passing through two poins is,

\begin{gathered} m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1) \\ m=(2-6)/(2-(-4)) \\ m=(-4)/(6) \\ m=(-2)/(3) \end{gathered}

Thus, the slope of the line passing through the points (-4, 6) and (2, 2) is -2/3.
